Things to think about when choosing your perfect stationery….
Creating your perfect wedding stationery design is super exciting! It may however be slightly scary too as you may be overwhelmed by ideas. Now that we have access to the world in seconds via our fingertips, suddenly there is so much choice!
Here’s a couple of pointers that will help you get a wee bit of clarity.
Step 1 Colour……I think the first step is to really have a think about your on the day colours, why not use these colours in your Save the Dates right the way through the your Table Plan? Keeps everything leading back to the day itself.
Step 2 The Venue……..Are there any key features of your venue? Do you want this as part of your design to give your guests a taster of what’s to come?
Step 3 To Theme or not to Theme (keep it traditional)……… Do both!! The two can be combined! Themes are a great way of making your invitation stand out from the crowd! If your having a themed wedding (films, music, seasons of the year etc), why not add a hint of tradition into the mix by using a traditional font?
Step 4 Where to get them from? I think once you have an idea of your perfect designs, you can then go forward to choose a bespoke design made exclusively for you or buy something that you have seen that fits the bill.
Step 5 Things to make sure of….. If you choose bespoke designs, make sure you gather a heap of research first from somewhere like Pintrest ( I love the stationery on this website too ). It’s a very useful tool for inspiration. Remember that your chosen designer will not be able to replicate designs that you take forward but can use them as inspiration to create your perfect designs. Make sure you click with your designer, it’s important they understand your vision for your designs and show enthusiasm to help you achieve what you want. This should be a fun and exciting process with you being blown away by the end result.
